The 13' Little Giant Ladder Plank that only opened to 12' 6"!

When I received my Little Giant Ladder Plank it had a few minor nicks and dings, which were not serious and it was exactly what I expected. It looked good and I was quite pleased with my purchased. When I went to use it, you can imagine my surprise when it would only open to a max of 12' 6". I thought, I need to talk to someone at the factory and find out to what length the 13' plank opens. I got in touch with a gentleman at the headquarters and ask, what must have seemed like a rather funny sounding question, "What is the expanded length of the 13' ladder plank?" His reply, I really don't know but I will go out back and measure some. When he returned to the phone, he said most will open to approximately 12' 10 1/2". That length would certainly work for my needs, so we got to work "a tuggin and a pullin and lubricating. After a little effort we got it to work and fully expand. After this small hitch it is working fine and I am well satisfied.
