The Velocity’s integrated Ratchet™ leg levelers seamlessly solve the problem of using an articulating ladder on uneven terrain. If you are setting up the articulating ladder on a spot where the ground is slanted, causing the ladder to lean or wobble, simply extend the Ratchet leg levelers to meet the ground. I purchased 2 of the Velocity ladders with levelers. for my crew. And honestly I am disappointed with this model having owned little giant ladders before (4 of them) which where just about perfect. I find this particular model very heavy, the rolling wheels help but still heavy. The new lever lock in place portions are plastic I am sure ill break one off sooner than later and i find that they tend to catch on my clothing and they are finger pinchers. The extension levelers are pretty good but could be stronger but they work well. In all if I had to buy again I would skip over this model to a different one. This model of little giant I feel is not for the every day guy.
Recently purchased an Xtreme model 22 & it worked out great except for the weight which I deal with despite shall we say "age", mine that is. My Wife wanted one for inside the house for reaching ceiling fans and plant shelves which are fairly high due to 12' plus ceilings. She has no problems operating the ladder and absolutely loves it & as everyone should already know, a happy Wife makes for a happy life.

Only reason l ordered this was to fit the plank that l already had not any better or cheaper

3x heavier than my old school trusty aluminum ladder.Ladders are meant to slide in and out of truck beds, shed lofts, hanging running rails ect... so WHY put steps on the outside body of the ladder ? Also, is it so hard to put a quick video link of a person just showing a quick demonstration along with a few must have add on attachments rather than warranty requests asking for more info than doctors and police ?
I have a 22' LG ladder that I bought in the 90's and it's worked great ever since. I bought a Werner as a backup ladder (I inspect buildings so backup tools are important) and never liked or used the Werner very much even though it's new! Just purchased a new Velocity 22' and it's awesome and easier to use than my original LG! The only thing I don't like are the wheels, they will get replaced as soon as they fail! Anyone wanna buy a slightly used Werner?
Size refers to the ANSI definition of length. ANSI states that the size is defined by the combined length of all rail sections, with a tolerance of +/-3” on each section. Note, this does not take into account any overlap between sliding sections like those on an extension or multi-purpose ladder. This can cause a disparity in the size of the ladder versus the actual height. To determine which ladder you need, Little Giant recommends you reference maximum reach height instead of size.
The terminology for ladder duty ratings, grades, and types can sometimes be confusing. The ladder's duty rating is the maximum safe load capacity of that ladder according to ANSI standards. There are 3 types of ratings that Little Giant offers:
Type I - Made to handle everyday projects. Has a load capacity of 250 lbs.
Type IA- Designed with durability and regular use in mind. Has a load capacity of 300 lbs.
Type IAA- Built for professional performance and rugged use. Has a load capacity of 375 lbs.
Ladder specifications can be confusing due to safety regulation requirements. According to ANSI (American National Standards Institute), the ladder size is defined as the total length of each section and does not account for overlap on extension ladders. As a result, the overlapping sections reduce the total length of the ladder. When purchasing any ladder customers should pay particular attention to the maximum reach to ensure the correct product for the job.
