Great quality ladder. A replacement for my last little giant ladder the Extreme Model 17 that I lost in a fire. The Extreme model had a folding step attached with cable. It was a great, designed ladder. Now you have to buy the step as a separate accessory.
Thank you for the fantastic 5-star review, Jay! We're sorry to hear about your Extreme Model 17, but we're glad the Epic Model 22 is serving as a great replacement for you. We appreciate you choosing Little Giant again and continuing to trust us with your ladder needs!
I've had a 17' Little Giant 0ver 20 years and it's still a solid as it was new. This is the 3rd Little Giant in the house it goes along with a 4 step that I love. This 22' was needed at our new house as longer reach was needed. The built in arms will span my double windows and the levelers built in make all jobs safer.
Thie ladder wall hanger works great, the step makes standing safer and comfortable.
All together you can't go wrong with Little Giant

I have used it along with quite few of the accessories. I like how it works and how sturdy it feels when you stand on it.

Have an 1850’s home where the southern side always needs paint work. This ladder made life so much easier! Love it.

So far the ladder is working perfectly. It’s a bit heavier than I thought it would be but very sturdy and stable. Happy with this purchase so far.

Size refers to the ANSI definition of length. ANSI states that the size is defined by the combined length of all rail sections, with a tolerance of +/-3” on each section. Note, this does not take into account any overlap between sliding sections like those on an extension or multi-purpose ladder. This can cause a disparity in the size of the ladder versus the actual height. To determine which ladder you need, Little Giant recommends you reference maximum reach height instead of size.
The terminology for ladder duty ratings, grades, and types can sometimes be confusing. The ladder's duty rating is the maximum safe load capacity of that ladder according to ANSI standards. There are 3 types of ratings that Little Giant offers:
Type I - Made to handle everyday projects. Has a load capacity of 250 lbs.
Type IA- Designed with durability and regular use in mind. Has a load capacity of 300 lbs.
Type IAA- Built for professional performance and rugged use. Has a load capacity of 375 lbs.
Ladder specifications can be confusing due to safety regulation requirements. According to ANSI (American National Standards Institute), the ladder size is defined as the total length of each section and does not account for overlap on extension ladders. As a result, the overlapping sections reduce the total length of the ladder. When purchasing any ladder customers should pay particular attention to the maximum reach to ensure the correct product for the job.
