Great product - and necessary for the safe operation of the two-piece feature of these ladders when using them individually, or with scaffold plank.

I haven't had a need to use them yet. They are well made. I tried them for fit on my ladder and they are sized correctly to make a steady platform.

I don't have enough time to explain how bad the customer service is with this company. I did a very simple thing, ordered a part for my ladder. Through multiple misteps, mistakes and screwups, a MONTH LATER, I received my package. But when I opened the package, the order was WRONG!!! This company, every step of the way, has screwed up this very simple order. And now, a month later, I still DON"T have the part that I need! It's unbelievable how many things they had to ***** up to get to where we are today. Now, I have to go back and ask them to correct the mess they created. What a massive waste of time and money. You pay an astronomical price for these ladders and you'd think that ordering a part would be a very simple thing. I should just go out and buy another ladder to avoid the massive hassle I have to face to get the part I need!
Hello Marty, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We truly regret the inconvenience you've faced and understand how frustrating it is to wait for an accessory, only to encounter further complications. Your feedback is important, and we take it seriously.
We strive to provide an accurate and timely service, however we acknowledge that we fell short in a few areas, particularly with the initial reshipment, where only one Trestle Bracket was sent instead of two. Additionally, the delay caused by FedEx losing a package in transit was unfortunate and beyond our control, but we recognize how it added to your frustration.
Regarding the part you received, our team provided accessory information based on the details you shared with us. If the part was incorrect, it may have stemmed from a misunderstanding of the accessory needed, or a ladder part number provided. We’re always happy to help clarify and ensure the correct item is ordered, and we remain committed to resolving this with you.
That said, we kindly ask that communication with our support team remain courteous and collaborative. We're here to help and genuinely want to resolve any issues as smoothly as possible. Our team is committed to providing attentive service, and respectful dialogue helps us work together more effectively to find the best solution.
We value your business and are ready to assist you in getting the correct part. Please reach out to our support team so we can move forward together.
Size refers to the ANSI definition of length. ANSI states that the size is defined by the combined length of all rail sections, with a tolerance of +/-3” on each section. Note, this does not take into account any overlap between sliding sections like those on an extension or multi-purpose ladder. This can cause a disparity in the size of the ladder versus the actual height. To determine which ladder you need, Little Giant recommends you reference maximum reach height instead of size.
The terminology for ladder duty ratings, grades, and types can sometimes be confusing. The ladder's duty rating is the maximum safe load capacity of that ladder according to ANSI standards. There are 3 types of ratings that Little Giant offers:
Type I - Made to handle everyday projects. Has a load capacity of 250 lbs.
Type IA- Designed with durability and regular use in mind. Has a load capacity of 300 lbs.
Type IAA- Built for professional performance and rugged use. Has a load capacity of 375 lbs.
Ladder specifications can be confusing due to safety regulation requirements. According to ANSI (American National Standards Institute), the ladder size is defined as the total length of each section and does not account for overlap on extension ladders. As a result, the overlapping sections reduce the total length of the ladder. When purchasing any ladder customers should pay particular attention to the maximum reach to ensure the correct product for the job.
