The trestle brackets worked well on first try, a painting project. The brackets fit my Leveler ladder tightly, with a little nudging needed to get them in place. While some don’t like that, I felt it made for a tighter final assembly. Once in place, using the setup with the 6-9 ft adjustable plank was as stable as anything short of a scaffold, and felt more solid than any rigged up planking solution. The brackets come with a bungee that isn’t referred to in any paper or video instruction from LG on the product. It appears it is to keep the brackets in a set while stored, which is how I used it. It would be great if the brackets could be stored on the ladder or plank so they’re handy when needed in that configuration. Overall, I’m happy with the brackets and the expanded capability they provide with the Leveler ladder.

We're glad to hear that they worked well for your painting project and that you found the setup stable and solid. We appreciate your feedback on the tight fit and the usefulness of the included bungee for storage. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're happy to know that you're overall pleased with the expanded capability the brackets provide with your Leveler ladder!
Like most Chinese products, these didn't quite fit right and needed some bending with a Vice-Grip in order to slip into place properly. Once the Chineasium was adjusted, they worked fine. Why can't LittleGiant make anything in the USA so we don't have to beat it with a hammer to make it work? Come on guys! What are you thinking?

The brackets did exactly what they were design to do. They fitted right into the ladder which made two
ladders out of one.

It's great that they provided the versatility you needed. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please feel free to contact us. Enjoy your enhanced ladder setup!
The y work great. The only problem was getting them to fit the first time. I had to take a pair of channel locks and bend them so they’d fit. They were too tight to slide into place. Other than that, they are fine.

However, we’re sorry to learn about the initial difficulty you experienced in fitting them into place. Size refers to the ANSI definition of length. ANSI states that the size is defined by the combined length of all rail sections, with a tolerance of +/-3” on each section. Note, this does not take into account any overlap between sliding sections like those on an extension or multi-purpose ladder. This can cause a disparity in the size of the ladder versus the actual height. To determine which ladder you need, Little Giant recommends you reference maximum reach height instead of size.
The terminology for ladder duty ratings, grades, and types can sometimes be confusing. The ladder's duty rating is the maximum safe load capacity of that ladder according to ANSI standards. There are 3 types of ratings that Little Giant offers:
Type I - Made to handle everyday projects. Has a load capacity of 250 lbs.
Type IA- Designed with durability and regular use in mind. Has a load capacity of 300 lbs.
Type IAA- Built for professional performance and rugged use. Has a load capacity of 375 lbs.
Ladder specifications can be confusing due to safety regulation requirements. According to ANSI (American National Standards Institute), the ladder size is defined as the total length of each section and does not account for overlap on extension ladders. As a result, the overlapping sections reduce the total length of the ladder. When purchasing any ladder customers should pay particular attention to the maximum reach to ensure the correct product for the job.
